... Brice won't think it's cool that his little sister has joined him and his friends on the deck. But for now, she will be allowed to steal their Goldfish. And One Day...Anna will learn to hold her bowl level, therefore decreasing the amount of stickiness on my kitchen floor.

Sweet Boy
Below is just a little background information about the sweet ending to the story. 99.9% of the time I think Brice is a wonderful kid who is smart, funny and a great person. He has always been a very sweet kid and I have had trouble dealing with him lately.
He has a pretty bad attitude sometimes and speaks to me with disrespect. It is my fault I know for not putting him in his place but at the same time he is still driving me crazy. And so, last night was no different. He is wanting to learn to read and so some nights, I will practice with him. Our latest has been "Go, Dog, Go". Great book. Who doesn't like it? Anyway, about three nights ago, he read me the first half of the book, so last night he wanted to read the WHOLE book. We got a little over half way through and I could tell he was very tired and just not concentrating well. I told him, next time, we'll do the whole thing but for now it was time for bed. He was NOT happy with me. Begging, pleading, crying, whining. So, I told him, "good night, see you in the morning.". Next thing I know he is downstairs,
"Brice, it's time for bed, please go back upstairs"- in an annoyed voice
"Mom, I just had to come down here for that yellow paper".
I have no idea what he is talking about and just turn back to my computer.
"Just go to bed, Brice."
He goes upstairs only to return about two minutes later.
"What, Brice?"-again very annoyed.
"Did you get it?", he asks.
"Get what?"
"The yellow piece of paper. It was for you."
"Oh, I said, I thought you came down for a piece of paper and took it back to your room. Okay, I'll get it."
I walk over to the fruit basket and there is a tiny piece of yellow paper with the word "Love" written on it. Guilt. Tears in my eyes. I felt so bad. And then I hear him from upstairs, "Did I spell it right?"
"Yes, buddy, you spelled it right, thank you very much that was so sweet of you."
Such a Sweet Boy, after all!

Things To Do
Everyday after school, we play outside. Immediately. Brice takes his school bag in, goes to the bathroom, gets a drink and then we are outside for at least the next two hours usually. So, as you can imagine sometimes we run out of Things To Do. Last week though, we...
...tried to teach Anna how to roll the ball BACK to Brice, instead of just toddling off with it saying "ba, ba, ba".We also set up rocks on the garbage can so he could shoot them with his water gun.
And, finally, Brice collected every leaf in the yard and brought it in. So, it became a pretty display for a few days.

Singing Gardener
Things I like about this video: Anna looks under Brice's shirt for his belly button, Brice tells Anna what to do, Anna just sings regardless, Brice rambles about his friend Suzanna's injury as well as the golf ball, Anna just sings regardless carrying around her shovel!

Ponytailed Assistant
Justin has a new assistant. She is short. She talks a lot...in her own language. She is really good at making the copier work. She also is a flirt. Should I be worried? She sticks her tush out too when a copy is coming out of the machine.
But...I am not worried. Why? Well, because this assistant has some wild hair. She needs to get her hair did...and I know just the lady to do it. She is on the phone with her now!
"Excuse me, Mommy? Can you do something with my rat's nest?"
Why, of course I can! And look how cute she looks with a little "do".
Pulled back away from her face so she can concentrate on those phone calls.
Awww...the last assistant (who had to leave his position for sports, getting dirty and paleontology) really likes the new do.

Confused and Concerned
I am very confused and a little concerned about where my post went. You know, the 8,16,200 post with our wedding picture on it. When I went to sign in to the blog last night, it had kicked me out with that password and then I noticed the post wasn't there. Fellow bloggers, any ideas, clues, help???? And I even had FOUR comments on that post!

Daddy's Girl
Justin has always wanted a little girl. When I was pregnant with Brice, he thought it was a girl up until we found out that it definitely wasn't! He was ecstatic it was a boy, I must say and I will never forget the look on his face when I told him. The reason I told him was because I was playing with the ultrasound machine at work and there was Brice in all his glory.
Anyway, we got our boy and so we naturally both wanted a little girl the second time around. And, we got her! And she is such a Daddy's Girl as of late, flirting with Justin, looking for him and the first phrase of her life, "Hey Daa!". So, this picture should come as no surprise...

Spring Break 2010
For Spring Break this year, we didn't go anywhere. Well, I should say we didn't travel, we did go places though. Rundown: Monday~I worked and my Mom kept the kids! Tuesday~Brice went bowling with friends from school. Wednesday~Brice went to Nana's for the full day and had a blast, ate Dunkin Donuts, Chick-fil-A, and Boston Market and also saw How To Train A Dragon. Anna and I had girl time. Thursday~it rained so we went to the library and hung around the house. Friday and Saturday, I worked. Boo. Actually, it wasn't bad but it was still a full two days without seeing the kids. Below are some pictures of other activities of the past week.
Picnicing in the pollen.
Anna got a tea set from Nana and Pa for Easter so we had fun teaching her about Tea Time. And, she now says "teee".
Anna thought it would be good to lay on the front porch, in the pollen, gross.
They played with a noodle while it rained.
Doesn't want his picture taken but had to catch him with a pink teapot in his hand!

Sunshine
This little girl is my sunshine. Every day, rain or shine. I tell her so every night before bed when I sing the song to her. Only the second round of it goes like this:

More Easter Pictures
Up so early, he could've made it to Sunrise Service! The Easter Bunny brought Anna mini-Goldfish, Teddy Grahams and Animal Crackers.
Lovebirds, Josh and Blaire.
Look out Grandad, you've got competition!
Anna was still snoozin' in the car during this picture!
What happens when you give Josh the camera...
Playing with Rocket Balloons. It was the entertainment of the day.
Now up from her nap.
Not sure about this poofy dress.
Concentration.
More comfortable in her purple.

Lizards
Brice thinks he is so sneaky with these Lizards. I think they are so gross looking and he knows it so every so often I will open up my sock drawer or my jewelry drawer to find these things staring back at me! I don't know if Brice expects me to scream at the top of my lungs one of these days but I do laugh out loud!
