Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst-John 6:35
Brice made his First Communion last Saturday evening. He has worked hard and sometimes reluctantly :) on his lessons with me. I am proud of him in so many ways and this is no different. Jesus asked at the Last Supper to "do this in memory of me" meaning take and eat the bread and wine and by doing that we are not only honoring him but accepting that we are taking in the body and blood of Christ and through that action, He then lives in us. It is then our responsibility to do as He would do, pray as He would pray, and of course the greatest, love as He would love. And, isn't this what we want most for our children?
We had special guests here on Friday night and Saturday to help celebrate... Jonathan and Mollie!!!
We missed Aunt Blaire and Uncle Josh but they were busy with their little mister! Nana and Pa and Grandma and Grandad came to help celebrate and everything went well. It was a fun weekend!
Had to include this one since it was Mother's Day weekend.
Father Juan and the kiddos.
Mollie and Jonathan with the kids right before they left to go see Blaire, Josh and Christian. They had a busy weekend!
Thanks to all the family for either traveling or coming to celebrate this special time for Brice.

St. Thomas, Again
Are you tired of seeing these pictures yet? I messed up on the last post because that wasn't our second day at Magen's Bay, that was the third day. Justin was glad to see that I had lost track of time because that meant I was relaxed! Anyway, the actual second day, after laying out on our private beach, we went to dinner on St. John's. We took the ferry over which was fun in itself and then had an awesome dinner!! So yummy.
Extremely windy and not good for curly hair. Justin made fun of my hair the rest of the night...should have had it braided like Monica on "Friends" did when they went to the Bahamas.
Ok, so then on our last day there we went to Smith Bay Beach which was completely beautiful and if we had missed this beach I would have been totally bummed. The owner of the house mentioned going there and said we wouldn't regret it. Well, the only part I regret is how long we stayed because I got a mean sunburn. Anyway, it was worth it I guess because this place was incredible. Justin had lots of things to do because there was so much sea life every time you turned over a rock. We even saw a wedding.
Unlike Magen's Bay, there were some good waves here. It was such a fun day!
It was like having an aquarium at your fingertips...so cool and Brice would have LOVED it!
Self timer, gotta love it! Happy 11 years to us! Justin talks about going back everyday! So, I for see another trip in our future. After our babysitter recovers of course, right Mom??!

Alice In Wonderland Bunny
Our girl did it. She performed in her first ballet performance on Sunday evening. It was definitely exhausting. The show didn't start until 6 and it was THREE hours long. Way too long for little ladies and their younger siblings, possibly even their older siblings but it was a fantastic show. And, growing up dancing, I know how much it means to show off what they've been working so hard for all year long. The moment of being the star on stage, especially when those seniors may never dance again.
We had her dress rehearsal on Friday afternoon and I think she was more nervous for this than the real thing basically because she had no idea what to expect. After Friday afternoon, she was actually excited about it. And, even though yesterday evening was a way longer experience than the rehearsal, she did awesome!! Brice was whining this morning about being tired and it being too late to have a performance and Anna responded with, "Well, you better get used to it because that is how it is when you do ballet and I'm going to be doing it again next year!". Well then...
Our little star...
This was on Friday before the dress rehearsal. Below she is looking for Alice which was part of her dance.
"Don't know where she is?"
Justin dropped us off and then I had these pictures done.
This was right before I dropped her off with her teacher to go backstage. She was very ready but then told me she got nervous right before going on stage. She said she wanted Justin and me.
She COULD NOT wait to see Justin after the performance because she knew she was getting flowers! Hot pink roses, her favorite color. :)
Flowers from Kyle and Brice and Nana and Pa.
My precious ballerina...so proud of her for getting on that big stage and doing so well (she did really know the dance). I hope she continues to love dance but what I really hope is that she finds something she loves as much as I loved and love dance.

More St. Thomas Pics
On our second full day there, we went to Magen's Bay which we had to drive to. The drive there was a little nerve wracking going up and down hills, winding around and keeping to the left hand side of the road. Eeek! But, once we got close, we noticed there was a lookout point over the bay which was amazing! So, we stopped got some pictures and then drove down to the bay.
Is this water not ridiculous? It seriously looked fake in person, as if we were in Disney World and they dyed it every morning. Craziness.
Also, this beach and ocean had no wind or waves. It was like a lake on a calm day. You could hear people talking up and down the beach which was very different. We didn't have our suits with us, otherwise we may have laid out for a little while. We had just heard about the bay so we wanted to check it out. Glad we got to see it because it was different than any other beach we had been to.

Christian David
My little nephew is here!!! Blaire had him early this morning at 4:58am. She had a very smooth labor and everyone seems to be doing well. Even though he is a bit early, any time a new baby arrives is a time to celebrate! I am SOOOO bummed I couldn't hop in the car right away and go see him but I know I will get to soon. I am pouring over my calendar right now trying to figure out when between ball games, first Communion, ballet performance and end of the year parties that I can get my hands on him. Busy, busy time of the year!
I am so happy for Blaire and Josh as they embark on such a wonderful and challenging journey. As all parents know, there is no love like the love you have for your child. And, I must say, the love I have for my nephews and niece is pretty strong too. Congratulations Cohn Family!!!
