I feel as though Thanksgiving was quite some time ago! We are now decorated for Christmas, have most of our shopping done, need to wrap everything but first must get through a birthday party tomorrow! I still haven't figured out the whole picture thing on here and like I said I probably won't until after the holidays. You will all then have to endure a huge picture release!! Get ready.
This time of year is so busy and wonderful for most people I think. Especially those with little kids. I was just in the kitchen keeping an eye on some strawberry cupcakes when I thought I would write something and then I decided to pick up my computer and move in to the family room so I could sit by the tree. We got a beautiful tree that is at least 10 feet tall and I spent three hours with just the lights so, I thought I should enjoy it. I just thought I would write a little bit about each of the children and what they are like this Christmas season.
Brice- I believe he has figured the Santa thing out and has let on to this with only me. He told me not to say anything to Justin because he knows it would break Justin's heart. He did go willingly though to sit on the big guy's "lap", ended up being his actual chair because Kyle was having nothing to do with that stranger! Brice is making our gifts this year and I feel honored that mine was the first to be finished and wrapped and placed under the tree. Sometimes I feel as though Brice prefers Justin for anything and everything but this reminded me that he is my firstborn and he knows it! His heart is so big and generous and always has been. He loved helping me decorate this year and would not let me put out a single one of my Nutcrackers. He also loved bossing Anna around but I guess that comes with the territory of being the oldest sibling. For Christmas, he wants all things Harry Potter. And a few other things. Brice has always been older than his years and while sometimes I feel like I missed his childhood, I have to remind myself that Brice, himself missed childhood! I also have to remind him sometimes that he is indeed a child and not a parent. He is so excited to share our traditions with the other two and it just makes my heart smile!
Anna- Oh, Anna. This phrase is said by me over and over throughout the day in different contexts and tones. She has really matured in the last six months and I see a girl there, not a little girl but a young girl. She will turn four on Thursday and I am having trouble grasping this. Just tonight we were at Brice's basketball game and walking out, I looked at her run ahead of me and remembered being at that same gym the day we had her 2nd birthday party. It seems as though it was yesterday and those two years flew by in a blink. Her vocabulary is changing and she is using bigger words and structuring her sentences differently. She asks questions non-stop. I am talking probably one hundred questions a day, possibly twice that. Her mind is constantly going and she is trying to wrap her mind around baby Jesus being born outside and placed in hay and then the thought of Santa coming down our chimney and don't even get started on how he is going to get back up the chimney. At the mention of her birthday and/or Christmas, her little face just lights up and she gets a big grin on her face and says in a squeal, "I'm soooo excited!!!". As you should be little girl, this is going to be an awesome year! She is becoming more caring and understanding the importance of giving and that Christmas is about love. She has watched "The Grinch" about ten times and asks half of her questions then but always at the end, "Is this when he knows Christmas is love?". And her little voice just makes me want to squeeze the cuteness out of her! I could go on and on about her and probably will on her actual birthday. :) Her Christmas wishes include a "ballerina" house (doll house), a Barbie and Prince Eric (from The Little Mermaid). While singing to her tonight, she stopped me and said, "Is Santa coming tonight?" "No" I answered. "Well, then will you let me know when it's going to be that night?". As if the night would just sneak up on her!
Kyle- While it has been hard to keep up with this little dude, he is so precious to look at, especially when gazing up at the tree. We put the less treasured ornaments at the bottom of the tree and he will touch them while saying, "Ahhht, ahht". As in, "Ahht, don't you do that!". He also likes to point at the nutcrackers and say, "cra-cuh". Overall, he has been very good with all the ornaments and has thoroughly enjoyed the lights everywhere. The sweetest memory I will have of him this year though is at bedtime. After stories are read and books put in his basket, I put him up on my shoulder or cradled in my arms. He has his blankets (na-ket) and puts his finger in his mouth and I sing "Silent Night" or "Away in a a Manger" to him and he looks at me with the calmest eyes and I can't get enough. I could stay in there all night singing to him. Then I put him in the crib and rub his head and cheek and he snuggles himself up. My cup runneth over with that sweet little boy.
So, I think that is all for tonight. Need to go work on the cupcakes a little bit and get some rest. I am anticipating the arrival of a little girl named Natalie soon. Justin's sister is due the 17th, however, all signs are pointing to before then. We shall see. I can't wait!!! On to Anna's birthday party, maybe Natalie's too!

Thanksgiving Post-Just Words
We had a great Thanksgiving week and were able to eat two meals, one with my parents the Saturday before Thanksgiving and then one with Justin's family on Thanksgiving Day. Both were yummy meals. Our moms make most of the same things but do it differently and I love both ways! Brice and Anna were off of school the whole week but we filled the time easily and everyone was actually happy playing together! Justin took Brice to Stone Mountain the day before and I made our traditional Advent rings with Anna. Other than that we laid low and watched a lot of TV as well as played outside. It was a gorgeous week here in Atlanta. Now the house is decorated for Christmas, minus the tree and I am getting into hyper "let's get it all done" mode along with planning a birthday party!!
I just tried to upload pictures and it seems I have run out of storage space. While I would love to figure out the solution right now, I just don't have the time! IF I find the time, I will upload and keep you all up to date with pictures. Otherwise, you may just have to settle for words until the New Year. You think I'm kidding? I'm not. I think between Facebook and Shutterfly (Kodak Gallery has now been bought by them) everyone will get to see our faces. :)
Thank you to all who follow this blog. I promise to try and keep it up through the holidays so I myself can remember all the happenings around here. Kyle is at such a fun age but he is also at a very busy age where almost nothing gets done if he is awake. I have to keep up with him constantly and often ask the other kids to do it which I shouldn't. Enjoy your families this Advent season and I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!!
Watching the parade
More parade watching and making pumpkin pie for Nana's house. Me in the purple sweater was from the night we went to my parents' for their dinner.
Appetizers for the little guy.
Great Grandma talking to Kyle about his puppy.
Playing with Pa is the most fun!

You Might Have a Boy...
...in your house if you open your cabinets and see this. Yep, little man just put it there one day and closed the cabinet door. I know this will not be the last time that a ball goes missing in our house and these days, you can bet there are some hidden cars around too.
We are in full holiday/birthday/waiting on a baby mode around here. Justin's sister is 35 weeks pregnant and we are so happy for her!! Can't wait for her little lady to arrive but we would all like it to be after Thanksgiving for the baby's sake. She isn't due until December 17th so we shall see when she chooses to make her grand entrance. This to me is like Christmas morning. EEEK!! I can hardly contain myself. I am off to Christmas shop...online of course! :)

15 For 15
Kyle turned 15 months old on Halloween. I took him to the doctor that day for his check-up and he weighed 25 lbs. 7.5 oz (63%) and measured 33.5 inches (96%). I seriously think it was the shortest visit ever and the only reason they do a fifteen month is to delay the vaccines three months longer. He got his MMR and Chickenpox vaccines. Owie and no fun. He definitely showed some side effects and I felt so sorry for him. This afternoon, after we got home from Publix, he was in the garage playing and the sun was setting just right behind him so I got the camera out.
15 Pictures for 15 Months! Yes, you have to endure fifteen snapshots of the same kid!
Above: making car noises. Below: a little frustrated
Is there something about a little boy in overalls, or what?

Lord Voldemort, A Pumpkin, and Winnie the Pooh
Few words are necessary. The night was a complete success. Our Pumpkin rocked it. Could have gone all night long and loved every second of it.
"Anyone have an extra Hunny around?"
"My tummy is grumbly for some Hunny"
She walked away from every house with this grin on her face. Completely pleased with whatever treat she scored.
Do not mess with He Who Must Not Be Named...
Here is the best treat for me tonight...I took this picture in one shot. No lie.

Is it Monday, yet?
Some of you are probably reading that title thinking, "why would she say something like that?". Well, because I love Mondays, that's why. Justin goes back to work, football is not on during day time and Brice goes to school! I don't have to wake Kyle up from his nap to go anywhere and I don't have to keep him up from napping to pick Anna up. So, I LOVE Mondays. All of that AND, this weekend was busy. We finally made it to the pumpkin patch or local church that always has them on sale. It was nice. After I talked Brice into coming with us if he wanted a pumpkin carved, I put the three kids in the car and took them. Anna was super sweet and picked Kyle's out for him while he went from pumpkin to pumpkin saying, "pum, pum". Not only were all the kids agreeable and nice to each other, I got some good pictures. All in their Halloween shirts. Hip, hip Hooray!!!
Then, Brice had to get back to the house so he could change for basketball evaluations. And, after that he came back home again to get ready for his last game as National. This past week has been his tournament and we thought we might rally and go all way but, no such luck. Then, we zipped home here to watch GEORGIA BEAT FLORIDA!!! Can I get an "Amen"? And a hallelujah?! Wahoooo!!! Gaw-leeee that felt good. So then this morning we got up and tried to straighten up the house as much as possible while Kyle goes behind us and undoes everything we've done. :) I went to ballet (yes, I am taking classes on Sundays and love it!) and then came home to get cleaned up and head to the ballpark for Brice's team party in the freezing cold wind. The kids all had a blast because kids don't feel temperature, hot or cold and all the adults froze. Is it Monday, yet?!
This girl was all about carrying her own pumpkin...to the car, to the front porch. Oh, and she doesn't want it carved, she wants to paint it.
Wait for it...wait for it...
Ta Da!!! Three kids, same themed shirts, all looking at the camera!
These are from Brice's party. Kyle LOVES cars. He saw this one and played in it during the entire trophy presentation. And, then he cried when it was time to leave.
My big boy receiving his trophy. He had a great season and really improved in all areas of the game! He had fun too! So proud of our ballplayer.
